Welcome to Year 3
Welcome to Year 3
Our class teacher is Mrs Hall and our teaching assistants are Miss Knaggs and Mr Bowman.
In Year 3, we promote an ‘I can’ attitude to learning. We want children to believe that they can succeed and to have trust in themselves, those in their school community and in God. As children embark on their journey into KS2, they will face new challenges and we encourage them to work hard and feel excited about the new opportunities they will encounter.
We promote an enjoyment of, and commitment to, learning and have high expectations of ourselves. As part of this new learning journey, we will encourage the children to start taking more responsibility for their own learning and organisation. We want them to grow in confidence, independence and resilience and always try to make to most of their gifts and talents.
Team work in Year 3 is very important. We reward children for working as a team, being supportive of each other’s learning and being a good role model to others.
We also know that it is ok to make mistakes. We learn from Jesus’ relationship with our class saint, ‘St Peter’ that we can say sorry and forgive each other. We encourage and support each other to do our best and we know what to do when things do not go as we planned. We embrace each day as a new start and an opportunity to learn!
Please see our newsletter for further details on the interesting things we will be focusing on each term. If there is anything else you would like to know please come and speak to us. We look forward to meeting you throughout the coming year.
We will keep letting you know about the things we will be learning about through our class newsletters.
